About This Blog

I'm an educator whose inquisitiveness is frequently surpassed by that of my children, who ask some great questions about everything.  This blog is dedicated to sharing the neat-to-know information we uncover in search of answers to their queries and other "I wonder"s that come up in life.  Most often, these forays for knowledge take us to the realms of history and/or science.*

The title "Neat Questions" is a short form of my five year old's blog title suggestion.**  It also tends to be the first words out of me when a stumper comes up.   The next words are often "To the Internet, Batman!"

We are known to use other resources (bug books, bird books, a globe, actual paper literature, my recollection of things that in theory I already know, Grandpa the entomologist) but the internet is a biggie.  Remember the days of having to wait for a library to open in order to find stuff out?  My kids don't either.

*which should be pronounced "SCIENCE!" as in, "she blinded me with,” because science is awesome and should be spoken with the same awe and enthusiasm as "bacon.”

**which was something like "The Science Kids Asking Science Questions About Neat Stuff To Know About"
